And with pondering that first response and that...distraction by the noise, Ignis had the luxury of getting to receive that second one while pondering what to say, with a faint chuckle (kept quiet and private even when entirely by himself) for it. That amusement (and dare he say fondness?) melded into his words once he finally did reply, though.
"With the dawn? How truly dreadful. What a horrible ordeal that must have been for you, on top of everything else. Surely, though, there must be somewhere you can escape that isn't quite so far as all that...." The pause that followed was...significant, the amusement in his tone switched out with something trying very hard not to be too somber or serious.
